Start by understanding the structure of the exam before the content: the number of questions, their type and how they are distributed across performance domains. Many candidates lose marks because they never practised the way questions are worded.

Give the first four weeks to the core concepts — scope, time, cost, risk and stakeholders — at two sessions a week with short exercises after each one.

In weeks five and six move to situational questions and to agile methodologies, which make up a large share of the current exam.

Reserve the last two weeks for full mock exams under real time conditions, and analyse your mistakes after each one instead of moving straight to the next test.

One final piece of advice: do not memorise answers. Understand the logic of 'what does a professional project manager do first?' — that logic alone answers a third of the questions.
